ChatGPT is the AI assistant from the American company OpenAI: you can use it for free at chatgpt.com and in the apps for iPhone, Android, Windows and Mac, with both the menus and the conversation in Bulgarian. As of October 2026, the paid plans for Bulgaria cost €6.50 a month for Go, €23 for Plus and from €103 for Pro, including VAT, while Business for teams starts at €21 per user a month with annual billing.

How to open ChatGPT in Bulgarian: in the browser, in the apps and without signing up
You can open Chat GPT in Bulgarian directly at chatgpt.com. Bulgaria is on OpenAI's list of countries where ChatGPT is supported, and Bulgarian is an official interface language that switches on automatically based on the language of your browser or phone. If the menus are in another language, sign in and change the language in your profile: on the web under Settings → General → Language, and in the app under App → Language.
Without signing up. In Europe, chatgpt.com also works without an account, web search included, but you can hold only one conversation at a time, and it is not kept after the browser session ends. For history and projects you need a free account.
Apps. In the App Store, the official app is ChatGPT by OpenAI OpCo, LLC (iOS 18 or later), and on Google Play it is ChatGPT by OpenAI. Since 9 July 2026, the new desktop app for Mac and Windows has brought Chat, Work and Codex together, and there is a public beta for Linux. The official links are on the ChatGPT download page.
Unofficial sites. A search for “ChatGPT in Bulgarian” also brings up sites that do not belong to OpenAI; some of them state that they have no connection with the company. The official addresses are chatgpt.com and openai.com, and in the app stores the developer is OpenAI.
ChatGPT on Viber and WhatsApp
According to digital.bg and other Bulgarian media, ChatGPT has been built into Viber for users in Bulgaria since June 2026. You can write to it in its own ChatGPT section or call it up with @ChatGPT in a chat: it summarises links and unread chats, polishes and translates messages, and edits photos. Some features do not require an OpenAI account, while linking an account raises the daily limits, and you can unlink it in Viber's settings. According to OpenAI, conversations in the ChatGPT section go into the linked account's history and may be used for training if that option is switched on. On WhatsApp, ChatGPT answers at +1-800-242-8478, even without an account; in the European Economic Area (EEA), the service returned on 13 July 2026.
ChatGPT on Viber works for you as a user; for your customers to get replies on behalf of your business, you need a separate AI agent connected to your prices and schedule.
Is ChatGPT free? What the Free plan gives you as of October 2026
Yes, the free plan costs €0. Since 8 October 2026 it has run on GPT-6 Luna, the lighter model of the new generation, although some OpenAI help articles still mention GPT-5.6 Luna. According to OpenAI, everyday text chats are unlimited, subject to safeguards against abuse, while the tools have separate limits:
- Think. A button for harder questions: on your phone it is in the “+” menu, and on the web it has been rolling out gradually since 14 August 2026.
- Files. Up to 3 a day, with documents of up to 512 MB and images of up to 20 MB. Audio files can only be uploaded on the paid plans.
- Conversation length. About 27,000 tokens (a token is part of a word), roughly 12 pages of text at once.
- Images, voice and deep research , in limited amounts that OpenAI does not publish.
- Web search, data analysis, ready-made GPTs, projects with up to 5 files and a 500 MB Library.
On 29 October, OpenAI updated the model on the free plan, on Go and for use without an account: answers are shorter, with less flattery.
How much ChatGPT costs in Bulgaria: Go, Plus, Pro and Business in euros
The official ChatGPT pricing page is in Bulgarian, but it may show amounts in US dollars. The table lists the euro prices that chatgpt.com has set for Bulgaria, including 20% VAT, as of 31 October 2026; you see the exact amount before you pay.

On chatgpt.com, Go, Plus and Pro are billed monthly only. The Dot agents announced with Pro are not yet available in the EEA, and Health and Finances from the plan comparison are US-only. In the Bulgarian App Store, the subscriptions are listed at different amounts, for example Plus at €19.99 and Pro 200 at €199.99, with no billing period stated, so check the amount and the period before you buy.
Programmatic access (API) for your own systems is billed separately from the subscription. Since 28 October 2026, Pro and Business have also come with promotional API credits, on terms that OpenAI may change. We compared API prices in our article on AI models and API prices for business.
ChatGPT Business for teams
ChatGPT Business (called ChatGPT Team until August 2025) includes ChatGPT, ChatGPT Work and Codex, sign-in with your company account (SAML SSO) and connectors to Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Slack and GitHub. By default, OpenAI does not train its models on workspace data, and it can sign a data processing agreement (DPA) with your company. Administrators do not automatically see employees' personal conversations, while the workspace owner can export an employee's data where the option is available. A company with a valid VAT number adds it to its billing details, and OpenAI does not charge VAT (the reverse charge applies); excluding VAT, a Standard seat costs €21.67 a month, or €17.50 with annual billing. The choice of data storage region on Business is still rolling out gradually; even with a region outside the US, a copy of every conversation stays in the US for a limited time for abuse monitoring.
What ChatGPT can do: GPT-6, voice, images, files and projects
Since 7 October 2026, ChatGPT has run on GPT-6 and the so-called Intelligent UI: an answer can combine text with visual and interactive elements and can start appearing while the model is still thinking. Plus, Pro, Business and Enterprise use GPT-6 Sol, the free plan and Go use GPT-6 Luna, and the reasoning mode in Pro uses GPT-6 Astra.
Voice. ChatGPT Voice has Live, Advanced and Standard modes; Live runs on GPT-Live-1.1, or on the lighter GPT-Live-1.1 Quip on the free plan and Go. The new voices added on 15 October 2026 do not include Bulgarian, but you can set the spoken language in the voice settings (Voice → Language). If you want customers to talk to AI on your company phone, what you need is an AI voice agent, like the ones we describe at the end.
Images. ChatGPT Images is available on all plans. Version 2.5, released on 8 September 2026, added templates, drawing from a sketch in the mobile app and prompt sharing.
Files and search. You can upload documents, presentations, spreadsheets and photos and ask questions about them, and web search works even without an account.
Projects, memory and GPTs. Projects bring together conversations, files and instructions on a single topic, and memory (Settings → Personalization → Memory) can also draw on your previous conversations. New GPTs can no longer be created on personal plans, and OpenAI plans to switch off existing ones on 11 December 2026; their creators can move them over to plugins.
Work and Codex. In the new desktop app, Work carries out long tasks using apps and files, while Codex is for programmers; on the free plan, both are limited.
Ads in ChatGPT: who sees them in Bulgaria and how to turn them off
On 18 August 2026, OpenAI announced that ads in ChatGPT would launch in 31 European markets the following week, and according to the Bulgarian business publication Capital, users in Bulgaria have been seeing them since the beginning of September. Ads appear only on the free plan and Go.
A single labelled ad block is shown below the answer. According to OpenAI, the ad does not influence the answer, and advertisers do not see your conversations or your personal data. There are no ads in conversations about health or politics, in temporary chats or on the accounts of minors, and in the EEA ads are not personalised for now.
On the free plan, you can go ad-free in exchange for fewer messages and no image creation or deep research: “Settings” → “Ad controls” → “Change plan to go ad-free” → “Reduce message limits”, then confirm. To switch back, choose “Show ads”. If you are on Go, OpenAI suggests moving to the free plan or to Plus or Pro. The details are in OpenAI's help article on ads.

Personal and company data: settings and what not to paste into ChatGPT
On personal accounts, conversations may be used to train the models by default. You can turn this off in the settings, under Data controls, with the “Improve the model for everyone” toggle, and your history stays. However, rating an answer with a thumbs up or thumbs down still lets OpenAI use the whole conversation after you have opted out, and voice recordings have a separate setting. A temporary chat does not go into your history or memory and is not used for training, but it may be kept for up to 30 days for security purposes. A deleted conversation is permanently erased within 30 days, but any memories created from it have to be deleted separately. Anyone who has a shared link to a conversation from a personal account can open it.
OpenAI itself advises against sharing sensitive information. On a personal account, do not paste in:
- customers' personal identification numbers (EGN), phone numbers, addresses and booking details;
- health information;
- passwords, API keys, bank and card details;
- confidential contracts and unpublished financial results;
- employees' salaries, performance reviews and sick leave.
There is a legal reason too: under Article 28 of the GDPR, customers' personal data may only be entrusted to a processor under a contract, which OpenAI offers with Business, Enterprise and the API, but not with a personal account.
ChatGPT can be used from the age of 13 (or the minimum age set by law in the relevant country), and anyone under 18 needs permission from a parent or guardian.
ChatGPT, Gemini or Claude: which to use for what
ChatGPT is the most widely used AI chat in Bulgaria: according to Statcounter data for September 2026, around 81% of the visits that AI chats send to Bulgarian websites come from it, around 14% from Gemini and under 1% from Claude. That says nothing about quality. ChatGPT has a Bulgarian interface, works without an account and creates images for free. Gemini is built into your Google account and Android, with free Gemini Live on your phone: see Gemini in Bulgarian. Four features that many users miss:
- Locked chats (since 20 October 2026). You can hide selected conversations behind a 4-digit PIN or your device unlock, even on the free plan.
- Two accounts on your phone (since 30 October 2026). On iOS and Android, as the feature rolls out, you can be signed in to up to two accounts, for example a personal one and a work one.
- ChatGPT for Word (since 17 September 2026). An add-in for Microsoft Word, available on the free plan too.
- Flashcards (since 22 September 2026). On all plans, for studying or for training new employees.
What we can build for your business with AI
ChatGPT, Business included, is a workspace for you and your team.
